But after guaranteeing their status in Europe's top competition for another year, the signings of three first-team regulars will come as a welcome boost to Treviso's fans heading into the summer break.
A club statement said: "Benetton Rugby Treviso continues their preparation for the 2015/2016 season, with the extensions of the contracts of Enrico Bacchin, Simone Ragusi and Matteo Zanusso.
"This brings the total number of contract renewals and new players already announced for next year's campaign to 27.
"Enrico Bacchin made 19 appearances this year, and blends speed and vision. He has the power and impact required from a player in the centres, and even emerged for Italy this year.
"Simone Ragusi is an exciting player, who is capable of great invention on the wing and made 18 appearances last season.
"While prop Matteo Zanusso was our only player to play every game last year, with 28 appearances, and is definitely one for the future."
