For Munster, triumph this weekend would bring a fourth GUINNESS PRO12 title - most recently beating Leinster at Thomond Park in the 2011 final - while the Warriors have never lifted the trophy.
Gregor Townsend's side are, however, unbeaten in their last six GUINNESS PRO12 games, having finished top of the regular-season table.
If fact these two sides finished level on points after 22 games only for Glasgow to finish top by virtue of winning more games - despite the Munstermen's superior points difference.
That points difference was helped in no small part by fly-half Ian Keatley, who has enjoyed a productive season under head coach Anthony Foley.
The Ireland international has amassed 176 points in the league, leaving him level with Ospreys stand-off Dan Biggar at the top of the point-scorers' list. One point in the final will see him take that honour alone.
CJ Stander and Simon Zebo have each crossed the whitewash nine times for Munster this season, joint third in the league behind Rhys Webb and Craig Gilroy.
Ospreys scrum-half Webb leads the pack with 12 so a hat-trick for either of those Munstermen would draw them level with him late in the day.
DTH van der Merwe was not only one of the Warriors' play-off heroes, he is also their top try scorer in the league with seven, with Peter Horne and Niko Matawalu each have six.
Horne is also one point away from reaching 100 for the season, while Munster forward Billy Holland will make his 100th GUINNESS PRO12 appearance if he features.
