A batch of impressive displays mean Morgan can now turn his attentions to Wales duty, with the centre's form being recognised by a call-up to the senior side's World Cup training squad following injury to Jonathan Davies.
And the Dragons' midfield man admits a memorable past year, which includes the experience gained from training with his country's incumbent centres, bodes well for his club.
"I have had a great 12 months after coming back from New Zealand last season with the Wales Under-20s - looking back on it now it has been an insane year," Morgan told Wales Online.
"We have been happy with the Dragons performances in the second half of the season and have had some good wins.
"The young backline with Jack Dixon and Hallam Amos just shows the future we have at the Dragons.
"I feel all right because I have not played the full season, so in the second half of the season I have felt quite fresh.
"Training with the likes of Jamie Roberts, Jonathan Davies and Scott Williams was a great experience.
"Just watching their professionalism with the intensity of their training and how they prepare was inspirational.
"Physically they are another level above and you have to strive to get there."
