And they will be aided by the addition of former England international Palmer, who joins the club from Gloucester.
The lock made 42 appearances during an international career that began against USA in 2001 - the last of those coming in a loss to Australia in November 2012.
The 36-year-old's club record is also outstanding, having won European titles with Gloucester and Wasps, played in France for Stade Francais and spent time in New Zealand.
And the addition of Palmer, who joins fellow internationals Luke McLean and Alberto de Marchi in moving to Stadio Monigo, could see Treviso pulling up trees in next year's GUINNESS PRO12.
"Benetton Rugby is pleased to announce an agreement with the 30th player officially included as one of the team for the season 2015/2016," read a club statement.
"This is the second-rower Thomas Phillip Palmer, better known as Tom Palmer, who joins the club from the English side Gloucester.
"His career, both personally and as an athlete, is dotted with adventures as a genuine globetrotter.
"His arrival at Treviso has been confirmed in recent days and will strengthen the club's second row, thanks to all the experience brought by an international player such as Palmer."
