But having missed out on a spot in the Wallabies World Cup squad, the 23-year-old winger is expected to join up with the defending GUINNESS PRO12 champions for the new season.
And Murchie, who will skipper the side during the World Cup with many of their first-team stars absent on international duty, cannot wait to get the Fijian-born ace on board.
"It will be great to get him across, I have watched a lot of footage of him and he is an exciting player, I think he's going to have a really positive impact on the league," said the 29-year-old Murchie.
"He is a great player for us given his size and power, we are really looking forward to getting him across and he will be a great signing for us."
Glasgow lost in the final to Leinster the season before last before finally topping the pile last season to claim the first GUINNESS PRO12 title in the club's history.
And Murchie admits he and his teammates will have to work doubly hard if they are to remain the top dogs.
"For us the mentality is to improve, we want to back it up and improve in Europe. We are not resting on our laurels," he added.
"Hard work pays off and that is a fillip for the squad, we have to work harder. We don't want that to be our pinnacle, we want to leave a legacy.
"I have read a few things about how clubs have developed, like Leinster recently losing finals.
"At the time it hurts a lot but it allows you to learn. We got to a lot of semis and a final and learned how to deal with the occasion, the build-up, and that was the culmination of everything we learned.
It does make you more hungry."
