But former Warriors star DTH van der Merwe was among those to dot down at the other end as Warriors lost their second pre-season friendly, following a 28-10 reverse to Clermont Auvergne earlier this month.
And, ahead of the beginning of the defence of their GUINNESS PRO12 crown at Scotstoun, Townsend says there is work to be done.
"We've got to make sure we put what we've learned from the two defeats in Clermont and Canada into a winning performance on Saturday," Townsend told Glasgow Warriors' official website.
"We were disappointed with aspects of our accuracy and the players and coaches will need to work hard to improve that.
"I was pleased with a lot of individual displays, especially in the second-half when young guys were coming off the bench.
"What the last couple of weeks has proved to me is that we have a real depth to our squad. There are players who are learning their trade and are working really hard to deliver performances and there is still work to do.
"The whole season is ten months long and we know we'll work really hard this week to first select the right team who are going to put us in a position to win the game, but also get those things out that we want to see in our team."
