The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia-specific service provider in Ireland and works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia-specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers.
It is a national non-profit organisation and also operates the Alzheimer National Helpline offering information and support to anyone affected by dementia.
Cardiac Risk in the Young is a charity that aims to raise awareness of the condition known as Sudden Cardiac Death or Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
CRY also provide free counselling and support for families affected by sudden death or cardiac conditions and also support the Centre for Cardiovascular Risk in Younger Persons (CRYP), where families and individuals can be evaluated in a heart screening service in a timely and systematic fashion without financial cost.
The season starts for both charities with a unique opportunity in conjunction with Joe Walsh Tours, official travel partner of Leinster Rugby, who has presented both charities with 14 seats for the away trip this evening against Edinburgh, which includes traveling to and from Edinburgh with the team. The 28 seats in total could be used to raise funds for both charities as they saw fit.
