Josh Strauss was involved for Glasgow Warriors last weekend, despite being part of Scotland's 31-man World Cup squad, and with Ireland not jetting over to England until after the weekend Healy could be involved.
Leinster kicked off their season with a narrow defeat to Edinburgh and Cullen admits it would be a boost to have Healy involved.
"Everything is on a case-by-case," said Cullen.
"It's important to have the link. He is a Leinster player. He potentially would be helpful to us, if he was available.
"He would have to come back in and train with the group so it is very hard in a professional environment to just turn up on the day of the game without any training. He has got to get used to the calling structures.
"That is the player he is. He has got special gifts and they (Ireland coaches) were prepared to bring him to the World Cup even though he has not played so far this season, because they, and we, know how talented a player he is.
"We saw during the Six Nations exactly what that looked like and I thought he equipped himself pretty well.
"He hadn't been playing for quite a long time but we went into the Six Nations on the back of having not played. So in theory this would be a pretty similar scenario."
There was less good news in the front-row for Leinster however - tighthead prop Marty Moore underwent an operation on a cracked metatarsal last Friday and will be out of action for a month.
"He had a screw put in to secure the area. Hopefully, this will give him more stability in his foot going forward," added Cullen. "We're hoping it will be only four weeks."
