Newest recruit to the backroom team, defence coach Wilkins who joined at the start of the season from Queensland Reds, underlined the importance of these events.
He said: "It's great to be able to work with the guys from our local clubs, to hear what they're doing and to help in whatever way we can.
"There was a great turnout from the local coaches and we really appreciate the fact they gave up their time to come along. I look forward to getting involved in more events like this."
Thirty-five coaches from across the wider Edinburgh Rugby region came along to pick up tips and top up their skills, from BT Premier 1 clubs, University teams, women's and girls' clubs, regional leagues, colts and youth teams - and one hardy soul even drove all the way from Middlesbrough!
On hand to demonstrate the skills - and be demonstrated on - were 19 young players from local clubs including Murrayfield Wanderers, Boroughmuir, Heriot's, Lismore and Watsonians.
