And Leinster are no exception, with Ireland Under-20s centre Garry Ringrose winning his maiden cap for the Irish province after starting against the Blues while Tadhg Beirne, Ross Molony and Cathal Marsh also achieved personal landmarks.
Last weekend's victory was all the more important for Leinster after a disappointing Round 1 loss at Edinburgh, and Cullen says his side's long-term future is in safe hands.
"It is a great opportunity," he said. "We had Garry Ringrose out there for his first cap. Tadhg Beirne came off the bench for his first cap. Ross Molony and Cathal Marsh - their first starts here in the RDS. We had a couple of new caps last week as well.
"This is a great period for us where we get to work with some younger players. It is great experience for those guys.
"Particularly being in that situation where they are behind with 15 minutes to go and they dig a result out of the bag.
"We are very pleased, there are plenty of things that we can work on for sure, but some pleasing signs."
