The 28-year-old is no stranger to the international stage, having made his debut back in 2009 but he missed out on the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
He starred last year though as Ulster made it to the GUINNESS PRO12 semi-finals where they lost 16-14 to eventual champions Glasgow Warriors, and Cave is eager to taste the Rugby World Cup atmosphere.
"I am massively looking forward to getting on the field," he said. "There has been so much build up to this World Cup, months, years and answering questions about it, talking about it and training very hard for it.
"The boys got us off to a good start and we've been working hard in the background and we are looking forward to getting our opportunity.
"It is going to be a pretty big day for me, playing a rugby match in front of that many people at Wembley Stadium is going to be pretty special.
"For now I will try not to get too bogged down on the occasion and focus on what is important and when I hang my boots up there will be plenty of time to reflect.
"You are never happy with what you have are you? Once you make the squad you want to make the 31, as soon as you make the team you want to make the field and as soon as you play you want to play again.
"I have been working very hard for years but in particular over the last few months and I know come the whistle I will be ready to play and given myself every opportunity to contribute to the team."
