That game preceded a nervy win at Benetton Treviso but Edinburgh are just one of three teams to have won both of their first two games.
And Burleigh, who played with Manu at the Highlanders, believes his side's form won't prove a flash in the pan.
"Nasi fitted in straight away and I think his experience at No.8 has helped the guys in the pack around him," Burleigh told Scrum Magazine.
"He is a very calm guy who knows what needs to be done on the field while off the field he is very good at speaking to the young players and helping them to improve.
"We knew that the World Cup period would be crucial for us and we have to keep the good form going this Friday.
"I think if we can be in the top two or three in the table after ten games then that can help us to really go on and have a great season."
