And though Munster currently sit pretty at the top of the GUINNESS PRO12 table, Keatley knows they cannot ride their luck for much longer.
"The story of our season so far is that we have been winning ugly," said the fly-half, who added a try to his five conversions.
"It's like every time we go behind we flick a switch and pick up the tempo and intensity, get a try and go ahead before we let the opposition back in.
"That's happened in our first few games and it happened again on Saturday. We need to look at that going forwards and be an 80-minute team if we are to be in contention at the end of the season."
Next up for Munster is a trip to Parc y Scarlets on Friday.
Scarlets have also enjoyed four wins from four so far this term and Munster head coach Anthony Foley knows his team are set for a strong test of their credentials.
"We're sitting top of the table with four wins so we can't really ask much more of the boys, but now all the focus switches to Scarlets," he said.
"They played last Friday night, so get an extra day's rest and on top of that we have to travel over there, so how we manage our recovery from the Cardiff game is crucial."
