Tom Brown and Damien Hoyland remain in the right and left wing berths while Andries Strauss retains the number 12 jersey to partner Helu in the centre.
The half-back pairing of stand-off Phil Burleigh and scrum half Nathan Fowles remains the same as last week.
There is just one change to the pack, with loosehead Rory Sutherland returning to the fray following his late call-up to the Scotland squad just hours before kick-off against Ulster last Friday.
Neil Cochrane at hooker and John Andress at tighthead retain their places while Anton Bresler and Fraser McKenzie remain at lock.
In the back row, captain Mike Coman remains on the blindside, last week's try scorer Hamish Watson at openside and Nasi Manu at no 8.
Coming on to the bench, with Helu and Cuthbert moving to the starting spots, are Dougie Fife, Blair Kinghorn - who may make his senior debut - and Rugby World Cup returnee Sam Hidalgo-Clyne.
The hosts have been defeated in their last ten league matches, though won over Edinburgh (18-10) the last time the capital club visited Parma. Meanwhile Edinburgh have made their best ever start to a Guinness PRO12 campaign and are currently one of only three sides with a 100% winning record after four rounds of the campaign.
Head coach Alan Solomons said: "We're pleased with where we are at the moment but are under no illusions about the task we face this weekend.
"It will be a tough match as the Italian sides are always a completely different challenge at home.
"Zebre will benefit from their returning Rugby World Cup players following Italy's exit at the pool stages."
Edinburgh are away to Connacht next weekend then return to BT Murrayfield on Saturday 7 November against Munster (kick-off 5.15pm). Looking to welcome back our Rugby World Cup players in to the Edinburgh family, the emphasis is on a family afternoon out with the return of our popular 'kids for a quid' ticket offer.
