The youngsters were all very keen sportsmen, who as well as skilled rugby players had many different sporting talents, including Logan Westley who has a golf handicap of just 13 - which is almost his age!
Louie Walters was evidently a No.8 and demonstrated some excellent passing skills, whilst Ieuan Joel was a typical scrum-half full of energy and always up for a challenge.
Daniel Charles completed the quartet and as well as his sporting skills he also showed a great attitude for the academic tasks that the Dragons' education officer, Phil James, set for them.
The young men were a real credit to themselves and to the school, their effort was super and they seemed to get a great deal out of the week.
New Backers Welcomed Aboard
And as the Second Half programme prepares itself for visiting schools, it is with great pleasure and pride that the Dragons welcome new sponsors and donors to our department.
S4C will sponsor the interview and report that the schools complete when they come to visit - always a favourite activity for the pupils, who get to meet and grill one of our star players, it will now include a section of Welsh that will be proudly displayed at Rodney Parade.
ABC Electrification have also selected to help the education booklet with their sponsorship of a page that will require the kids to watch a video and highlight some important safety issues.
Manpowergroup Solutions and McGinley Support Services have also donated toward our community operations in providing rugby balls for the Dragons' primary schools activities and our secondary programmes respectively.
To cap the successful search for sponsors, the Dragons also welcome the Spytty Park Tesco Store on board, who are not only sponsoring a work page concerning healthy eating, but will also be attending our new family village on a match by match basis with plenty of giveaways for our young fans.
