Connacht are currently second in the GUINNESS PRO12 table and O'Halloran is reaping the rewards of his own and his team-mates' hard work.
The 24-year-old said: "My season is going well and I'm enjoying it. I've been working hard in training and that has transferred over on to the pitch.
"But my team-mates do make it easy for me. For example Matty (Healy) made a great break for the try and when you are coming in off the back of that, then it is easy to look good.
"It was a big team effort tonight and we are all delighted with the win."
Connacht were facing a Edinburgh side who lost to Zebre 19-11 last weekend and O'Halloran knew there would be a reaction from the Scots.
The Irish province were only leading 8-6 at half-time but another two penalties from Jack Carty, compared to Edinburgh's one, meant they secured the 14-9 victory.
O'Halloran added: "It was a very tough game. We were under no illusions that it was always going to be a difficult game against Edinburgh. They were coming to us on the back of a disappointing loss to Zebre so we knew they were going to come at us with all guns blazing.
"It was a big, physical game but we grinded it out and there were a few points where we had to make sure we were smart and played in the right areas.
"Overall we were delighted with the win because it was always going to be a tough game against Edinburgh."
