The Siberian club have visited Galway on five previous occasions although the tables are turned this time with Carty and his team-mates preparing to open their 2015/2016 European campaign in freezing conditions away from home.
There's been nothing cool about their performances so far this season though with six wins out of seven in the GUINNESS PRO12 leaving them top of the table.
And while predicting a physical encounter, Carty insists the squad is relishing the task ahead.
"It is going to be a different experience but we are looking forward to it. We have been training early morning this week, so we have a good prep for it," he said.
"It is the first opportunity for any of us to go and experience this different culture.
"It is going to be a big challenge, against a big physical team. We've played them three or four times now already and they have always been tight games so we are expecting it the same again this weekend.
"I was on holidays in summer when I heard that we drew Enisei, so it has been something that we have been really looking forward to as a group. No one in the squad has been to Russia.
"And probably won't get the opportunity to go again. It is just a bonus that we are going to be playing a match here."
