And it doesn't get much easier for Turnbull and co with the visit of Pat Lam's league-leading Connacht on Friday night.
However, Turnbull is confident that Cardiff can turn results around and start to made headway up the league.
"We want to make Arms Park a tough place for teams to come," he said. "And that rebuilding process with Danny coming in is starting to happen now, we want teams when they come here to make it hard for them to get those wins.
"Obviously it's our patch and we want to go and show this Cardiff Blues support we can actually play at home and get a win.
"I know we've had a couple of hiccups but the detail he (Wilson) puts into everything and how he wants things executed is massive.
"It's slowly building and it's starting to come week in, week out. I'm sure he's alluded to it in the press himself that it's not going to happen overnight.
"It's not going to click straight away but we'll keep patient and eventually we'll get there. From my time at the Scarlets when Danny was there...we did get there."
