Things have not been helped by the absence of injured trio Hallam Amos, Tyler Morgan and Jack Dixon while Landman has been captaining the side in place of injured hooker Rhys Thomas.
Their next challenge though comes in the form of a home game against third-placed Munster on Sunday.
At this stage of the season last year, the Dragons were about to set off on an impressive run of four wins from four in December.
And Landman believes his team can take heart from how quickly things can turn around for the better.
"We still have the belief that we are a good side and everyone is still working very hard," he told the South Wales Argus.
"We need to hang on to our positivity and as a squad we have one goal and still believe that we can qualify (from our group) in Europe and climb the ladder in the league.
"It is very easy to be negative so it has been up to us senior players to help the junior players. It's up to us to turn this around and I am confident that we will.
"Results and performances have been disappointing but we were in a similar position last year and went on a winning run so we still have hope and belief."
