That is owing to Jackson who has 36 GUINNESS PRO12 points this season with six conversions, seven penalties and a drop goal to boot.
It hasn't all been plain sailing for Jackson though, with two crucial penalty misses costing his side in a razor-close affair with Munster.
But he bounced back in style as Ulster took on Oyannax in the European Champions Cup with a late penalty securing a 24-23 win.
"Paddy has been kicking well, that's why I haven't got a lot of shots myself this season," Pienaar said.
"He's in great form with the boot this season. He struck it sweetly and the ball carried well. There was great composure and it shows the way he's playing.
"He was a bit disappointed with a couple of the kicks against Munster, so to bounce back and make that kick, hats off to him. He's worked hard and I'm very pleased for him."
At 24, Jackson has 13 caps to his name for Ireland but Ulster director of rugby Les Kiss thinks he has all the ability to add to that in the coming years.
"That's probably the next step for sure. He's not kidding himself about whether he's a full-fledged international yet. He'd like to have the opportunity to prove that," said Kiss.
