The Accenture Digital Media Awards are now in their 12th year and are the most prestigious digital awards in Ireland.
Created to recognise creativity and innovation across multiple areas of the sector, they have chosen to recognise the GUINNESS PRO12 Rugby App, which was developed in association with Dublin based digital agency, ebow.
Commenting on the shortlisting, ebow Managing Director David Douglas said: "We were thrilled to be involved in representing two great brands that are renowned for their high standards and exceptional customer experiences.
"Incorporating the excitement of the live games into the hands of fans all over the world and to have the work recognised as such is exactly what we aimed for. With Guinness and the Pro 12 we are proud to have achieved it."
The aim of the app is to reflect the quality of rugby and heritage provided by the championship's sponsor Guinness with a modern, polished design, whilst creating a powerful , informative and fan-focused mobile experience.
Key features include a Match Centre with minute-by-minute match updates through Live-Match Tracking, full Team Line-ups and interactive Team Formations - which should be enough to keep any fan in the know!
Fixtures and Results are available in the new Stats Centre, along with full Match Reports, Scorecards and the new 'Guinness Man of the Match' feature.
The winners of the Accenture Digital Media Awards will be announced on February 19 in Dublin.
