It proved to be a winning return as Ulster eventually broke Benetton Treviso to record a 32-13 victory.
The next challenge comes this Friday against Newport Gwent Dragons with director of rugby Les Kiss opting to hand Browne an opportunity from the start of the game this time around.
And while excited to be given an extended opportunity, Browne was already thinking about the team and helping them to record a series of positive results which would aid their current standing of fifth in the table.
"The focus is against the Dragons but the next weekend we've got Glasgow and then the Scarlets on the Sunday after that," he said.
"These three home games are really big for us and we're looking forward to the challenge and, hopefully, we'll get the wins.
"Yes, there is disruption (due to the Six Nations) but it leads to a healthy environment. It's actually an exciting time. It's a really good opportunity and I'm looking forward to taking it."
