Lam's men have now also accrued 54 points for the season, beating last season's all-time high of 50 with six games of the season still to play.
Connacht have never previously finished in the top half of the table but are set to change that stat this season.
And while they are well-placed for a play-off spot come the end of the season, Lam knows his side can't afford to ease off.
"We're back to the drawing board," Lam told the Irish Independent. "We acknowledge what we've achieved, last year was we set a record with 50 points.
"We've broken that now with 54. Ten wins was the most wins, we've now broken that with 11 wins.
"In the past 54 points has been good enough for sixth place but now we've got to go and get 58 or 59 points."
