His goal-kicking has come on leaps and bounds, with Patchell capable of hitting the target from long range, but on Sunday it was his finishing that made the difference.
With the Blues trailing inside the final ten minutes, the fly-half's interchange with Rey Lee-Lo saw him charge over the whitewash and turn the game in his side's favour.
Patchell has notched up 145 points in 14 appearances, playing 80 minutes 13 times in what is already his most prolific season to date with seven matches remaining.
Indeed with four tries, 19 conversions and 29 penalties he is the leading scorer so far in the GUINNESS PRO12, and should he stay fit for the remainder of the season, don't be surprised if he joins the 200-point club.
