In that run Treviso picked up their first two wins of the season, in successive weeks against Newport Gwent Dragons and Cardiff Blues before pushing both Munster and the Scarlets hard.
And having been disrupted by a bicep problem earlier in the season, Barbieri admits that it's good to be back, even if the Italians have a couple of weeks off before their next game.
He said: "I was hoping to make more of an impact, unfortunately at the start I took more time than expected to get to grips with the game, and then I had the bicep injury that had repercussions on my physical shape.
"Now I'm a lot better and I want to continue on the right path through to the end of the season.
"There are perhaps more negatives than positives (with the break), playing so many games in a row allowed us to get some confidence which you can't get when you don't play together for a while.
"Fortunately it's a long break though and that should help us from a psychological point of view."
