He will look to increase that number this week with Glasgow set to entertain Ulster at Scotstoun as they look to make up ground in the GUINNESS PRO12 and seal a top-four berth.
The defending champions currently sit sixth in the GUINNESS PRO12 table - four points behind this Friday's opponents Ulster albeit with a game in hand.
And the Scotland international admits he is delighted that there will be plenty more chances to sample the Scotstoun atmosphere.
"I am very happy to be staying at the Warriors," he said. "Glasgow has been my home for the past seven years and I love being here.
"After becoming a centurion this season, I'm looking forward to continuing to represent the club next season.
"I've witnessed huge growth at the club and we're now selling out Scotstoun for the majority of our home games and it's a great place to play rugby."
The signing comes as a boost to head coach Gregor Townsend who expects plenty more top performances from Murchie.
"Peter has made a huge contribution to the club over the last seven years, so it's great news that he's staying with us," said Townsend.
"He sets the standard for the squad in how to conduct yourself as a professional and works very hard to improve as a rugby player.
"We expect him to continue to play a big role at the club next season."
