First he starred in victory in Rome, as Scotland tasted Six Nations success for the first time in ten attempts, before a try-scoring outing against France in a first win over Les Bleus in a decade.
Those performances will come as little surprise to those who follow Hogg in the GUINNESS PRO12, as his five tries in ten starts last year helped the Warriors to their maiden title.
Between the World Cup and Six Nations, he has not featured as much for the Warriors, but made his return in last week's crucial win over Ulster.
In that game he scored a try and a long-range penalty - reminiscent of his effort against France - as the Warriors denied their visitors even a losing bonus point.
With five games remaining in the regular season, Glasgow are still very much in contention to secure a top four spot for the fifth straight season - the longest active streak in the league.
And Hogg, with his ability to create something out of nothing, fill in as a second playmaker, and long-range goal-kicking, could prove crucial in the end-of-season run-in.
