The 8th Coca Cola Boyne 10K will take place on Sunday, May 1st at 3pm and organisers are hoping to make this year's event bigger and better than ever.
The run passes through some of the most scenic and breath-taking countryside in the heart of historic Drogheda through the famous Boyne valley.
The event is jointly organised by athletic clubs, Drogheda and District AC and Boyne AC and has been organised to raise vital funds for charity partner, The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland, the country's leading dementia service provider.
The event is a competitive and fast and the course challenging, which means many professional athletes from around the country return to it every year to try beat the course record and their own personal bests. However, it is also hugely popular with fun runners, amateurs and walkers. All are welcome and supported around the course on the day.
Declan Monaghan, Chairperson of the Boyne 10km event said "We are delighted to have the support of Leinster Rugby to raise awareness of this year's run. This is a beautiful course and such a fun event with lots of camaraderie for runners and walkers of all ages and we would encourage everyone to come out and take part while supporting this worthwhile cause."
