The Ospreys scored three tries before half time through Evans, Dan Baker and Owen Watkin and added four more in the second half thanks to Olly Cracknell, Hanno Dirksen, Evans and Ben John.
Around 50 players have been used by the Ospreys so far this season and Gibbes thinks the game time given to some of his younger cohort will benefit the club in the long-term.
He said: "Every game for these young guys they learn something and that's great.
"We have had tough season but we've also been the masters of our downfall at certain times.
"But we look at the positives out of this for sure, the youngsters are getting game time and we are learning about individuals as well.
"We have had to have a hard look at what we do and tweaked a few things but the future is bright. We need to make sure we keep winning games as we go through."
With Edinburgh losing 30-23 to Leinster, also on Friday evening, the Ospreys have closed the gap to the Scottish side to four points as they hunt for a top-six slot.
And with a big Welsh derby against Cardiff Blues at Principality Stadium next weekend as part of Judgement Day, Gibbes says further improvements are possible.
He said: "We know we have got the players that can do the game plan we want.
"We just need to be consistent in our preparation for that and also keeping our heads on in the right moments.
"If you keep focusing on outcome you can lose sight of what you are trying to achieve.
"We had a pretty clear game plan and we stuck to it for most of tonight, if we can keep improving and taking bigger chunks of moments, we'll get better."
