1. Russell the star as Glasgow Warriors motor on
The Scotland fly-half was the star of the show as Warriors tightened their grip on a semi-final spot with an impressive 46-10 win away at Scarlets.
Finn Russell scored 21 points, including a brace of tries, to give the reigning champions a bonus point win to keep them within two points of leaders Leinster in the Guinness PRO12 table.
With the top three split by just two points, Warriors' final round showdown with second-place Connacht could well see the winner earn themselves a home semi-final.
2. Connacht keep up the pressure on leaders Leinster
The Boys in Blue may have overtaken them at the top of the table but Connacht are not going to fade away.
Pat Lam's side kept the pace with Leinster courtesy of an impressive comeback win against provincial rivals Munster.
The home side scored 29 unanswered points, thank mainly to two tries from Niyi Adeolokun, to come back from 14-6 down and win 35-14.
3. Ospreys not giving up on Champions cup spot
They may only be in ninth place but Ospreys have still got their eyes on a top six finish and a spot in Europe next season.
A man-of-the-match performance from Dan Baker helped Steve Tandy's men run in seven tries against Benetton Treviso on Friday night and come away with a 47-10 win.
With games against Cardiff Blues and Ulster Rugby to come, Ospreys will hope to close the four-point deficit on sixth-placed Edinburgh Rugby and salvage something from their season.
4. Could Munster miss the semi-finals?
In the six years since the semi-final system was introduced to the Celtic League, Munster have only once failed to make the post-season showdown, finishing sixth in 2013.
Three years on, could they be set to miss out again?
Saturday's defeat to Connacht leaves Anthony Foley's side seventh in the table with just two rounds to play.
Both remaining fixtures are at home, against Edinburgh Rugby and Scarlets, but the Red Army will be relying on fixtures going their way elsewhere in order to make the semi-finals.
5. Blues keep European hopes alive with derby win
One point and two places behind European qualification, Cardiff Blues' convincing win over regional rivals Newport Gwent Dragons has kept Danny Wilson's men in the hunt for a Champions Cup spot.
Fly-half Gareth Anscombe came in for Guinness PRO12 top-scorer Rhys Patchell and scored 18 points, including a try, to give his side the win at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park.
Blues can still mathematically qualify for the semi-finals but a European spot is the more realistic target with games against Ospreys and Edinburgh still to come.
6. Leinster dent Edinburgh semi-final hopes
The Leinstermen kept up the pace at the head of the table with a bonus-point victory over Edinburgh Rugby.
A three-try blitz in 11 second-half minutes gave them the 30-23 win in a pulsating encounter at the RDS Arena.
Fergus McFadden crossed the whitewash twice for Leo Cullen's men who, with games against Ulster and Treviso, will be looking to nail down top spot in the final two rounds.
7. Ulster in box seat for final semi-final spot
Neil Doak's side moved back into the top four with a convincing 47-17 win at the Stadio Sergio Lafranchi.
Jared Payne's hat-trick of tries eased Ulster past Zebre Rugby and two points clear of Scarlets in fifth.
Were the province to hold on to fourth it would mean three Irish sides in the semi-finals - a home fixture against Leinster in the next round will have a big say in whether that happens though.
8. Could regions miss out on semi-finals completely?
Scarlets' home loss to Glasgow on Saturday dropped the region out of the top four and down to fifth.
Wayne Pivac's men were struck down by a sickness bug last week but still harbour hopes of a semi-final spot.
The men from Llanelli still have to travel to regional rivals Dragons in the next round and finish up with a trip across the Irish sea to Munster - should they fail to qualify for the semi-finals it will be only the second time that a Welsh region fails to reach the final four.
9. Guidi determined not to have two-faced Zebre
Zebre began the season well but have not registered a Guinness PRO12 victory since January, when they beat Italian rivals Treviso.
Head coach Gianluca Guidi saw his side slip to another heavy defeat at home to Ulster on Saturday, their ninth loss in a row after four victories in their first 11 rounds.
Guidi then called on his players to turn their form around in the remaining two rounds, saying "we can't have two faces this season".
10. International stars make successful return from injury
Tommy Bowe, Rob Kearney and Liam Williams all returned to Guinness PRO12 action in Round 20 after significant injury lay-offs.
Full-back Kearney played the full 80 minutes to help Leinster to beat Edinburgh on Friday night and Bowe touched down twice in Ulster's comfortable victory over Zebre.
Kearney's fellow full-back Williams may not have got the result his Scarlets side wanted but the Wales international did score their only try of the game, running a delightful diagonal line to give his side hope before Warriors blew them away in the second half.
