And the fourth edition of Judgement Day in the Guinness PRO12 is officially the biggest one yet after ticket sales surpassed the previous record attendance of 52,762 - and the bumper crowd was made all the more special at Principality Stadium with the news that crowds had topped the one million mark across the season.
The previous attendance record had been set at last year's Judgement Day, and it follows hot on the heels of Leinster and Munster's clash earlier this month - which attracted 43,108 fans to the Aviva Stadium, further highlighting the popularity of the competition.
The ticket news follows an action-packed series of Friday night fixtures in the PRO12, plus a sell-out this afternoon for Ulster's clash with Irish rivals Leinster.
Martin Anayi, managing director of PRO12 Rugby, said: "This is a landmark attendance for the competition and we are very proud to have topped the one million-figure for the season as well - it is made all the more special with it being Judgement Day IV.
"It's an incredible achievement for the Guinness PRO12 and is testament to the quality of the competition and our clubs that this figure has been achieved and we have not yet even reached the play-offs or final.
"The Guinness PRO12 is a hugely competitive league and as a result continues to drive interest - there is still so much for our clubs to play for this season.
"Our clubs continue to sell out derby games and fill stadiums, Judgement Day IV is our biggest yet in terms of attendance and we are on course to break further records at BT Murrayfield on 28 May for our final."
