Blues remain unbeaten after wins against Edinburgh and Munster ahead of next week's clash away to Zebre, while Glasgow remain just two points behind Cardiff and Ulster after sealing a losing bonus point.
And Wilson, whose side finished last year's Guinness PRO12 as one of the form sides, was delighted after his side turned over the highly-fancied Warriors.
"It's very pleasing to beat a well drilled team like Glasgow," he said. "It's a fantastic win and a big statement I think."
"It was lined up to be a pretty compelling game. You had two sides who play, two sides who are pretty positive and who had both come off two wins at the start of the season.
"The weather was fantastic for the first time this season as well So it was kind of set up to be a bit of a humdinger and it was that."
The Blues' fast start is in sharp contrast to the beginning of last season and Wilson believes the winning feeling can be contagious in the Welsh Capital.
"The players have got to take full credit for a real gutsy performance," Wilson said.
"It's a good feel when you are winning. It fuels confidence. This group of players are outstanding, especially when they are confident.
"They are a very good side, especially in attack, they come wave after wave. We compounded that with a couple of errors that led to tries for them.
"But that's secondary to the amount of effort and the amount of passion to play at home there was from our guys.
"I thought we scored a couple of good tries and definitely tested them, while some of the defensive effort, especially at the end, was fantastic. We were knocking big carriers back time and time again."
