Edinburgh won 45-10 against the Italians with Damien Hoyland and Tom Brown scoring twice, while Scarlets narrowly beat Newport 31-27, with Steff Evans grabbing two tries.
Reigning champions Connacht got their title defence back on track as they shared seven tries with previously unbeaten Ulster and emerged 30-25 victors - Cian Kelleher scoring twice.
There was also seven tries in a hugely engaging 33-28 win on the road for Glasgow against Zebre Rugby, while Leinster beat Munster 25-14 in a game of five scores.
Ulster, Leinster, Ospreys and Glasgow, who occupy positions one to four in the table, are separated by just a point; highlighting the hugely competitive and closely fought nature of the competition.
Eleven of the 12 sides have secured at least a win after the first six rounds of competition, Connacht have finally kick-started their title defence with two wins, while bottom side Zebre have picked up three hard-fought bonus points.
