The Blues briefly revisited the Arms Park last season to play Ulster and Connacht in February and will return in the second round of the RaboDirect PRO12 against Edinburgh on Friday September 7.
And Davies believes that going back to the 12,000-capacity stadium will lift the squad and fans ahead of the new season and is backing his team to turn it a fortress once again.
"The Arms Park is an iconic venue in Welsh rugby," said Davies. "The players are very excited to be going back there and the fans are equally so.
"I think we all are generally as a region excited to go back to Arms Park and to the city centre of Wales is a great boost for us. It's the hub of rugby in the region, it has been previously and hopefully it will be moving forward."
