In domestic action however, the Blues have won their last two matches, including an impressive 17-6 victory at Munster as Warburton and co turn the corner following a difficult first few months of the season.
Next up for the Blues are Sale Sharks, who arrive in Wales for the last of the Heineken Cup pool games before Warburton and teammates such as Jamie Roberts and Leigh Halfpenny turn their attentions to the Six Nations.
But for the time-being, Warburton is determined to see the Blues end their Heineken Cup campaign on a high.
"The win against Munster was a big moment for us, and I think we did ourselves proud in Toulon, although we would have liked to have come closer," Warburton told Wales Online.
"We wanted to get that bonus point, tried hard and managed that right at the end.
"But those three tries we scored in the second half were positive, but our tackle completion wasn't as high as we wanted and we missed some critical tackles.
"Next weekend against Sale will be a big game for the club, an opportunity to get a win and not finish bottom of the group. It will definitely be a priority for us.
"I haven't really thought about the Six Nations so far. I am very much focused on the Heineken Cup with the Blues, although I will be very excited if I'm picked for the Six Nations campaign.
"Right now, though, I'm all about the Blues."
