The Warriors open up their new home with a RaboDirect PRO12 game against Scarlets (kick-off 7.35pm), and with tickets selling fast, are on course to begin life in their new surroundings in grand style.
Forwards guru Munro, a man steeped in the region's proud rugby tradition, told www.glasgowwarriors.org: "There's a tangible buzz around the whole club as we prepare to take the field at Scotstoun for the first time this Friday night.
"The players are itching to get out there and deliver a fitting result for such a special occasion, and it's great to know that the supporters share our enthusiasm about getting the ball rolling in our new home.
"They've bought Season Ticket Memberships in record numbers, and I know from speaking to the guys in the office that match ticket sales have been brisk so far this week as well.
"Having a large and vociferous crowd at our backs was a key part of how we made Firhill such a fortress last season, and we're all really looking forward to seeing our fans replicate that atmosphere at Scotstoun.
"There are a lot of new supporters among those who have purchased Season Ticket Memberships which is great to see.
"Scotstoun is a first-class venue for players and fans alike, and I'd urge everyone involved in rugby in the west of Scotland to get along this Friday to share a really proud moment for the sport in our region."
With Scotstoun's limited capacity and tickets selling fast, supporters are strongly advised to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Tickets purchased in advance also offer a £5 saving on match-day adult, senior citizen and student prices.
Reserved/allocated seating is in place in both the Main and North stands, with unreserved tickets available for the pitchside standing areas, located behind the posts at either end of the stadium.
Tickets are available via www.glasgowwarriors.org and by calling 0844 800 3490.
A full match-day info pack, featuring everything supporters need to know ahead of their first experience of a Warriors match-night at Scotstoun, is available in the "Scotstoun" section of www.glasgowwarriors.org.
