With Scotland set to open their RBS 6 Nations campaign against England at Twickenham, former Edinburgh Rugby man Grant is raring to get underway.
Grant admits that Stuart Lancaster's side will be riding the crest of a wave after their impressive 38-21 victory over world champions New Zealand in December.
But the 27-year-old insists they won't be paying England too much attention as interim coach Scott Johnson's side look to improve on last season's last-place finish.
"England are a tough team, a good side with a lot of talented players, and the last game out they beat the world champions so they are a formidable force," he told the Sunday Times.
"But I don't pay much attention to what pressures England are under - there's an edge about the squad Scott has picked.
"There are young boys eager to impress, and 19 Glasgow players champing at the bit to pull on the Scotland shirt.
"The boys are getting to the point where they feel they owe the fans. We want to win, and restore pride.
"The frustration and hunger build, and there has to be an end-game. This Six Nations is when it gets pushed over the edge."
