The 19-year-old arrives as the youngest player to run out in the Rugby World Cup but will have a fight on his hands to break into a back three alongside Van Der Merwe and the Lamont brothers.
He will have to wait until September 7th for his chance to run out in front of the Scotstoun crowd - in the clash with the Scarlets, but when he does Paris insists there will be fans back home watching.
Paris told the Glasgow Evening Times: "I couldn't have asked for much more than to get a try on my first appearance for Glasgow.
"With me having signed a one-year deal I need to make an impact, and so I have made a decent start in that respect.
"Glasgow have quite a high profile within the Canadian rugby community given that DTH, Kevin Tkachuk and Chauncey O'Toole have played for the club.
"If I can enjoy half the success DTH has had I will be happy. He has enjoyed a couple of great seasons with Glasgow and had a big part to play in me coming here given that we are wings."
