Within minutes of coming on he went over for the Scots' only try, collecting the ball from skipper Kelly Brown at a lineout and darting through a gap to score.
Pyrgos' introduction made quite an impact, speeding up the game for the Scots and Robinson admitted he was delighted with the display.
He said: "There was a real energy that Henry brought, right from his first play when he had the scrum and he dummied and went. I thought he took his chance really well, it was a good set-play to score with but there's a lot for us to look at and mull through.
"The disappointing thing from our side is we allowed a team to get a lead up again.
"They defended very well and if they hadn't defended as well as they had it could have been very different.
"They didn't have to do a lot to win that game because we gave them field position from the penalties.
"We have a lot to learn in terms of improving our defence. The guys can take credit to know they can play against the teams."
