Wilson was the RaboDirect PRO12 man of the match as the Warriors secured themselves the 1872 Cup by virtue of back-to-back wins over Edinburgh during the festive period.
The 23-year-old will have his work cut out to force his way into Scotland's caretaker coach Scott Johnson's plans with the national team's back-row particularly well stocked with the likes of David Denton, Ross Rennie, Alasdair Strokosch and skipper Kelly Brown.
However Wilson insists he's firmly in the hunt to force his way into Johnson's plans as soon as possible.
"It does go through your mind that you want to outplay your opposition. It's sort of like a trial match," Wilson told the Glasgow Herald.
"Obviously, I want to do my best for Glasgow, but I've always got that little inkling in the back of my head thinking Scotland, Scotland, Scotland.
"I want to push on and play for Scotland, that's my main goal. If I keep playing well for my club when we're doing so well at the moment, hopefully that will just come."
