There were a few candidates for this gong this weekend. Brian O'Driscoll somehow squirming his way over for Leinster's decisive try against Munster on Saturday night, or Luke Marshall putting the icing on Ulster's cake as he wrapped up their fifth-straight win of this RaboDirect PRO12 season after Tommy Bowe had knocked a cross-field kick down into his path were both up there.
But for pure sentimental reasons this week it has to go to Scarlets' Morgan Stoddart who celebrated coming back from a 14-month injury lay with the score to secure a 24-13 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons.
BREAK OF THE WEEKEND
Tim Visser - who else? We have come to expect it week-in week-out from the Edinburgh flyer and he didn't disappoint this weekend, wowing Murrayfield with a 50-metre dash to the line for his eighth try of this RaboDirect PRO 12 season. He might have outpaced Treviso's Luke McLean in the process but Italian international had the last laugh as Treviso headed home 27-22 winners.
PLAY OF THE WEEKEND
Despite missing out on try of the weekend O'Driscoll gets the nod for play of the weekend with his try the difference maker in the battle between Leinster and Munster.
The Ireland centre somehow managed to make his way over the whitewash despite having Dennis Hurley hanging on to him.
It needed the TMO to confirm the try but once it was it also effectively handed Leinster the win.
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND
Robert Barbieri was in fantastic form against Edinburgh - his try double securing only Treviso's second away RaboDirect PRO12 victory since December 2011.
Edinburgh had never lost at home to Italian opposition but Barbieri was single-handily trying to change that, crossing just before half-time for his fifth try of the campaign.
But five soon became six after the interval, the flanker charging down Richie Rees' kick to secure a rare win on the road.
LIONS WATCH
Warren Gatland would have been delighted to see Rory Best return in Ulster's 25-0 victory over Connacht, his first game back since the Heineken Cup final.
There was also the return of Leigh Halfpenny but his was not so successful as Glasgow Warriors downed Cardiff Blues 18-3, although the full-back did grab his side's only points with a penalty.
There was better luck for his international team-mate Dan Biggar as he helped himself to a 24-point haul as Ospreys got the better of Zebre 34-16, while O'Driscoll and Visser both grabbed tries.
