Visser is originally from the Netherlands but has plans to switch allegiances and will be eligible for selection in June while Jones is Borders born and bred and has already tasted international honours at U20 and Sevens level.
And the duo could not be timing their run any better. The youngest of Scotland's five back-three players to make the trip to the recent World Cup was Max Evans who is 27 and there are gaping spaces in the squad that Andy Robinson needs to fill.
Visser and Jones have demonstrated their class on the big stage as well, helping Edinburgh to back-to-back Heineken Cup victories over London Irish and Racing Metro - both matches won by a single point.
But while Jones admits he's never had it so good, he's adamant that the Six Nations couldn't be further from his mind.
"Obviously playing for Scotland is something that you dream of and target but for me, the only aim at the moment is succeeding for Edinburgh," said Jones, who has chipped in with three tries this term to Visser's ten.
"We've produced some fantastic performances of late and we're extremely pleased with the way that we're playing and Tim and I are enjoying being among the tries.
"He's got a few more than me at the moment but it gives me something to aim for and I've chipped in with a few and hopefully I can get a few more.
"It's important to just keep focusing on Edinburgh at the moment because we've got a very hard run of games coming up and you just have to let the other things happen."
Key to Edinburgh's upturn in fortunes this term has been the appointment of coach Michael Bradley - who Jones credits for installing confidence through the Gunners' ranks.
Jones for one is enjoying a breakthrough season, having made sporadic appearances last term, and he's convinced his form is testament to the trust shown in him.
"Not having to worry about whether or not you will get your place in the side allows you to concentrate on doing the things you need to do," he added.
"For me, it's all about doing the basics right and that's what I've been trying to do all season and I think it's been paying off.
"All the squad has got a lot of confidence - a lot of that has come from the two Heineken Cup matches - and we'll look to head into the New Year carrying that through."
