The young centre has been nominated for the Breakthrough Player in the Anglo-Welsh Cup while he has also made a big impact in the RaboDirect PRO12.
The Scarlets now lie just a point off the play-off places, Warren having already notched up three tries in nine appearances in the RaboDirect PRO12.
And the youngster admits he has grown a lot thanks to the trust placed in him in West Wales this season.
He said: "It was a real surprise to be nominated for the Breakthrough Player award, I got a few texts from friends about it.
"I didn't expect it at all but it's brilliant to be recognised like that. Now we need to go on and see if we can pick up some silverware.
"At the start of the season I got some real opportunities with the boys away at the World Cup and my game really came along a lot.
"It's been great since they have been back as well though. People like Jon Davies and Scott Williams are great to train with and learn from and with the Six Nations coming up now I need to take my chance again to try to get some more games.
"They are both internationals already so I can learn a lot from them, and having Nigel Davies in charge is great as well. He's always willing to have a chat and give some tips to help me out."
While the Scarlets academy under former Wales boss Gareth Jenkins is beginning to bear fruit, with George North joining the likes of Davies and Williams in the Welsh set-up, Warren took a different path into regional rugby.
The young centre took the college route choosing to do a sports coaching degree at Coleg Sir Gar in Carmarthenshire.
And he insists he has no regrets over taking the alternative route into regional rugby, following in the footsteps of former Scarlet Steven Shingler who has also been nominated for the Breakthrough award for his displays with London Irish.
He added: "I took a different path by going to college but I've learned a lot through that and I don't think it has held me back.
"As long as you are working hard and playing well you will get the rewards at the end of it and I feel like everything is going very well at the Scarlets.
"Our performances in the Anglo-Welsh Cup show how that the youngsters are coming through so hopefully the future is looking good for us."
