Fusaro arrived at Firhill in the summer of 2010 and had to bide his time breaking into the first team but a contract renewal, which will keep him at the club until at least May 2014, sets him up to be a part of the Glasgow scene for the foreseeable future.
But Fusaro is focusing on the here and the now and with his team lying fourth in the RaboDirect PRO12, a play-off place is attainable and it's with that aim that he's approaching the final five games of the season.
"I was very honoured to get the player of the month award because the vote came from the fans," said Fusaro.
"It was definitely the best achievement of my career.
"Things have been going pretty well at Glasgow for me recently. Things fell my way in our last game against the Ospreys and as a team we played well we but we also had the bounce of the ball.
"Having Al Kellock back from Scotland was a big boost for us in that game. He gives all the younger players a lift because he's such a solid player.
"Last year was my first season and I didn't play that much. But with the World Cup, a lot of young guys got experience and when we started winning the squad was given a huge confidence boost.
"We're now just focusing on finishing off the season in the play-offs and trying to get a home semi-final.
"For the guys, finishing in the top four would be massive - we've got to be focusing on that.
"We would love to win it and get some silverware. I think that would be incredible, the highlight of my career."
Having the PRO12 trophy in the locker would also be a fitting end to Glasgow's tenure at Firhill and to departing head coach Sean Lineen's nine-year stint with the team.
From next season the Warriors will play their home matches where they currently train, at Scotstoun, and Fusaro is looking forward to the novelty of playing and training at the same venue.
"When we do move it will be nice to have everything in one place," he said.
"It's all brand new there, there's a new gym, and they're redoing the training pitch.
"It's not in the city centre but it's still very much Glasgow so hopefully with Gregor as our new coach we'll be playing some nice stuff for the fans.
"But it depends on the way they build the stand whether or not it's bigger than Firhill."
