Veteran Argentine full back Bernie Stortoni, Scotland internationals Richie Vernon and Max Evans are leaving the club this summer, as are former Canada captain Kevin Tkachuk, flanker James Eddie, and lock Ally Muldowney.
And while this season hasn't hit the heights of last term's impressive surge to the Magners League Play-Offs, No8 Vernon admits Friday night will be a strange and somewhat sad experience for those players set to move on.
"It's pretty emotional now to think that my time in Glasgow is coming to an end, and that Friday night will be the last time in front of the Firhill support," Vernon told the Scotsman.
"When I made the decision to leave it was sad, and I knew I would miss this place, but the prospect of a summer building up to a World Cup and then moving to Sale has been great to look forward to.
"Now, though, I think all the guys leaving are feeling quite sad because Glasgow has been good for all of us.
"Last season was great for the club and I would have hoped that we could have moved on this season, and although we haven't, I know that I have improved a lot as a player in my four years at Glasgow and feel that I've achieved a lot."
And while Vernon won't be wearing Warriors colours next term, the 23-year-old believes the attitude of everyone associated with the club and the abundance of young talent coming through will ensure Glasgow's future is in good hands.
"There is a great work ethic at Glasgow and a terrific attitude right through the squad," added Vernon.
"So I believe they are capable of improving next season, but a lot will depend on those first three months without the internationalists.
"It will give opportunities to a lot of good, young players we have here and if they can pick up a few results then they will really kick on when the rest come back and could push towards the Play-Offs.
"Now, I'm just focused on Friday night and then the last game at Leinster. As I said, it is going to be a bit sad for us all at Firhill, but there is definitely a lot of motivation there for us to go out with a bang."
