With just three games of the regular season remaining, just three points separate the sides, with Ulster in second position and Leinster currently occupying the last remaining play-off spot.
The hosts do still have injury concerns following Saturday's bruising European encounter with Leicester but Isa Nacewa (foot), Brian O'Driscoll (nose) and Gordon D'Arcy (shoulder) are all expected to be fit for the game.
Leinster forwards coach Jonno Gibbes is hopefully his players will be fully recovered for Saturday's game.
"The boys are going to recover after last weekend and then we will assess who's bounced back and who is a little drained," said Gibbes.
"But we need to prepare, as a pack, for a key battle for our Magners season. It's almost like another quarter-final for us.
"Ulster are even more determined now to refocus and win the rest of their games and challenge for the Magners play-offs. I don't think we're in a position to rest players. We need a strong team out there. We need to win this game."
