Young on race to Play-Offs

The Blues are about to embark on the final chapter of the regular Magners League season.

They finish with four games, Connacht, Benetton Treviso, Newport Gwent Dragons and the Scarlets, which will decide whether they make the play-offs or not.

Young's men currently lie fifth in the league but are only four points adrift of Leinster and crucially hold the game in hand, against the Dragons on April 29, over all the teams above them.

But Young, who has made no secret of his desire to lift the Magners League crown, admits it will be a tough ask to sneak into the top four.

"A game in hand is only any good, if you win it," said Young. "We know it's going to be difficult.

"There are no easy games out there. But if we can get our set-piece right, go forward and get the quick ball we want, I'm sure we are going to be a difficult team to beat over the next three or four games."

Run-away leaders Munster have already booked their place in the play-offs but still have to secure a home draw, while Ulster, Ospreys, Leinster, Blues and the Scarlets are all still in the scramble to grab the remaining three places.

Munster and Leinster, however, are still fighting on two fronts, with their involvement in Europe.

The Blues will be hoping the Dublin-province have one eye on Europe but know they have to win their remaining four games, starting with Connacht on Friday night.
