Absolutely brilliant says ab fab finisher

The 23-year-old enjoyed a dream start to his Babaas career as he scored a brace of tries in the last-gasp win over England on Saturday.

Visser, who finished the year as the leading try scorer in the Magners League for the second season running, took his tally to 17 this term with an impressive performance at Twickenham.

The Dutch-born but soon to be Scotland-qualified star was one of the stand-out performers in a side that included the likes of Italian captain Sergio Parisse, ex-Wallaby back-row George Smith and former Springbok No8 Joe van Niekerk, as well as six other Magners League regulars.

Visser's second try secured a 38-32 victory with the final play of the game ensuring a fantastic individual display was accompanied by a winning team performance ahead of this weekend's clash with Wales.

"It was a fantastic feeling just to be selected for a side as prestigious as the Barbarians, so to come away with such a great result from both a team and personal point of view is absolutely brilliant," Visser told The Scotsman.

"We had to hang tough, because England really went at us in that first half and then again when we'd got ourselves in front, but the spirit had been great in our camp all week and that showed in the way we played.

"I'm thrilled to have scored a couple of tries, and proud to have helped the team win against such quality opposition."
