"We're doing a lot of weights and a lot of running. It's really enjoyable, seeing yourself get fitter; lifting heavier weights and running faster.
"There's a really good team spirit in the squad. We went away to the Ochil Hills last week, hill walking. That was a good exercise which took us away from the rugby and built up that spirit.
"I really want Glasgow to have a better season this year; rectifying the small margins we lost by last season. I want us to replicate the success of a few years ago and reach the play-offs.
"The fans make a great noise at Firhill on a Friday night and the atmosphere is really encouraging. I encourage all the fans to keep supporting and to bring their friends along."
Huw Jones added: "Pre-season at Scotstoun has shifted this week from a general focus on conditioning, with the full team, to a much more pinpointed training schedule.
"We've taken the opportunity with the smaller group of Warriors in the Glasgow camp at the moment to address individual needs and requirements.
"More rugby drills and games have been integrated into the training, while we've repeated our skin-fold and fitness tests, which have shown improvements from the season's initial testing."
