Davies' men have the chance to end the Blues' play-off hopes at Parc y Scarlets and could also sneak into the top four if they win and the Ospreys come unstuck at Aironi.
With all to play for in the regular season finale, Davies reckons there will be added spice to the already heated fixture.
"Derby matches normally take care of themselves because of what's at stake," Davies told the Western Mail.
"It's a big game without the play-offs riding on it, but it has got that too so it's all the more exciting.
"The Blues are very much in the driving seat and probably have to win to qualify. There's no guarantee that if we win we'll qualify, but we just want to win the game and finish on a high.
"They'll feel they've lost an opportunity recently as we did a couple of weeks before them.
"They'll be frustrated, no doubt about that, but they still realise they've got a great opportunity to come down here and go through if they perform.
"It's a big ask against a Blues team full of internationals and they'll be very bitter having lost to the Dragons.
"They'll be very focused, but we're looking forward to the challenge. We want to win as much as them, if not more."
Jon Davies, Josh Turnbull and Aaron Shingler have all been ruled out of the clash but Regan King is set to return for his final game at Parc y Scarlets before departing for Clermont Auvergne.
The Scarlets' need an unlikely win for the Ospreys at Aironi for them to advance into the play-offs.
The reigning champions are overwhelming favourites but Davies insists the Liberty Stadium-outfit should still be wary of the lowly Italians.
"I've been to Aironi and it's not the easiest place to go to," added Davies.
"What they have got is a big, solid pack. The Ospreys pride themselves on their pack, so they'll be challenged there that's for sure.
"It's a pressure game for them and it's not an easy place to go to at all.The key thing for us, though, is to focus on our own performance and get a result.
"All we can do is go out and do our best and we want to finish the season with a big performance as well."
